A wee bit about us!

In 1982, we arrived in Sarasota, Florida from Carluke, Scotland approximately 25 miles from Glasgow.

Scots Corner originated in 1984 mainly because we were missing some of the “goods stuff” from the old country. Now we are open six days a week, and have lots of ex Pats and first and second generation Scots who are our regulars. In 1994, we started attending Scottish Highland games and festivals, taking the store on the road. Almost every weekend you will find Jim or Kathy somewhere in America at a Highland games. We enjoy traveling, attending the festivals, meeting and reminiscing about the old country, and sharing our wonderful Scottish heritage with the folks we meet along the way.

Holding down the fort while we are on the road is Sheila who takes care of the store along with a hundred and one other things.

Please stop in say hello when in Sarasota, Florida or come by and see us at the many events we attended throughout the year. We look forward to see you and until then…
